Resin Flooring Benefits

Why more and more Bournemouth homes choose resin

  • No more concrete dust: Sealed, non-porous surface stays clean with a mop. No more tracking grey dust into the house every time you grab something from the garage.

  • Resistant to oil, chemicals & heavy loads: Built for vehicles, tools, and daily abuse. Especially useful if your garage doubles as a workshop or utility space, which we see a lot of in homes across Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.

  • Drive on it within 48–72 hours: Full cure in 7 days with minimal disruption, and no need to park on the street for long.

  • Custom colours & finishes: Choose from solid colours or decorative flake blends to match your home's style, whether you're in a modern new-build in Ash or a period property closer to the town centre.

  • Transforms the space: Turns a neglected garage into a room you'll actually love to use. A proper workshop, a home gym, or just a space that doesn't feel like an afterthought.

Diamond grind

We use a diamond grinder to create a key/roughness to the current surface to ensure the resin bonds to it when applied and remove any contaminants. Hand held grinders will be used where required for edges and grinders will be attached to dust extractors.

Fill and repair

We fill and fix any cracks or pitted areas, then vacuum the floor to remove dust and debris.

Base coat and flake

Apply respective coloured base coat and cover the whole floor with the chosen blend of flake.

Scrape and denib the flakes

Once the basecoat has cured, scrape off excess flakes and vacuum to ensure the surface is ready for the UV stable seal coat.

Clear UV seal coat

Seal the floor with a clear, UV-stable epoxy topcoat for lasting protection and easy maintenance.

Epoxy Garage Flooring FAQs

  • DescriptiMost garage floors take 1-3 days to install, depending on the system you choose. You can walk on the surface within 24 hours and drive on it within 48-72 hours. Full chemical cure takes 7 days, but it won't affect daily use before then. We work around you where possible and aim to leave the space usable the same day we finish.on text goes here

  • In most cases, yes. Minor cracking and surface staining are normal, and we deal with them as part of the prep process; diamond grinding, crack filling, and vacuuming before any resin is applied. If your floor has more significant issues (active damp, deep structural cracking, or a very uneven surface) we'll tell you honestly during the free quote visit, rather than proceed with a finish that won't last.

  • An epoxy coating is a solid-colour layered finish that is clean, flat, affordable and durable.

A flake system adds coloured vinyl PVA chips spread over the base coat, then sealed with a UV-stable clear coat. Flake hides minor imperfections better, has a non-slip texture, and gives a more premium appearance. It costs a little more but holds up extremely well in high-use spaces. It's also the most popular choice for standard home garages. We'll recommend the right one for your floor and budget during your quote.

  • We quote a fixed price before work starts. Once we've assessed the floor and agreed on the scope of work, that's the price. The only exception would be if something unexpected is found once grinding starts (a hidden moisture issue, for example), in which case we'd stop, show you, and discuss options before proceeding. No hidden extras once the job is underway.

  • If maintained, a properly installed resin floor will last 10-20 years with normal residential use. Maintenance is minimal; simply sweep or mop as needed, and avoid dragging sharp metal objects across the surface. If the surface does chip or scuff after years of use, localised repairs are straightforward.
