Installation Process

Diamond grind

We use a diamond grinder to create a key/roughness to the current surface to ensure the resin bonds to it when applied and remove any contaminants. Hand held grinders will be used where required for edges and grinders will be attached to dust extractors.

Fill and repair

We fill and fix any cracks or pitted areas, then vacuum the floor to remove dust and debris.

Base coat and flake

Apply respective coloured base coat and cover the whole floor with the chosen blend of flake.

Scrape and denib the flakes

Once the basecoat has cured, scrape off excess flakes and vacuum to ensure the surface is ready for the UV stable seal coat.

Clear UV seal coat

Seal the floor with a clear, UV-stable epoxy topcoat for lasting protection and easy maintenance.

First coat of resin

We apply the first layer of resin in your chosen colour for a firm base.

Repair and fill for final coat

After the first coat cures, we inspect and fix any defects with resin filler to ensure a smooth surface for final application/coat.

Top coat of resin

We finish with a second application/coat of resin, ensuring an even and smooth surface.

Base coat

Apply a moisture tolerant epoxy primer. Allow full cure to ensure strong adhesion.

Self-levelling application

Spread evenly a self-smoothing epoxy resin at 3-4mm thickness for a smooth finish. (use spike roller to release air bubbles if required)

Optional top coat

Optionally, add an additional clear top coat if extra durability or UV protection is required. (Polyurethane / Polyaspartic)

The process typically begins with the preparation of the existing garage floor to ensure a clean and even surface. Next, the chosen resin system is applied, whether it is a straightforward coating, a decorative flake system, or a self-levelling solution, followed by curing to create a hard-wearing, attractive and practical finish.

For both our Residential and Commercial customers, we offer the following products for the respective flooring systems; Epoxy, Polyurethane (PU) and Methyl Methacrylate (MMA). We help assess and provide guidance on which product and system is best for you or your company. Curing Times

  • 24 hours for light foot traffic

  • 48-72 hours for light wheeled traffic

  • 7 days for a full chemical cure

While some systems allow re-coating in 12-24 hours, curing is heavily influenced by temperature (warmer = faster), humidity, and coating thickness.
