Resin bound vs. Resin bonded
It is important to distinguish between the two types of resin surfacing:

The aggregate and resin are mixed together and then trowelled onto the base. It is permeable (allows water to pass through), smooth, and durable.

Resin bonded
The resin is applied to the base first, and then the aggregate is scattered on top. It is not permeable (water does not pass through) and has a more textured, gravel-like feel.
