The challenge

The customer's double garage had a bare, ageing concrete floor. It was structurally sound, but tired-looking, prone to dusting, and not something they wanted to show off.

They were after a floor that looked as good as it performed: smooth, easy to keep clean, and tough enough to handle tools, tyres and everyday garage use without marking or staining.

The solution

The process

1. Preparation

The existing concrete was diamond-ground to remove contamination and create the mechanical key the resin needed to bond properly — the step that separates a floor that lasts from one that doesn't.
2. Basecoat application

A resin basecoat was applied across the full floor area, forming the structural layer the rest of the system builds on for lasting strength and adhesion.
3. Flake broadcast

The Domino decorative flakes were broadcast by hand across the wet basecoat, giving full, even coverage and the finished floor its distinctive textured look.
4. Protective topcoat

Once cured, a durable protective topcoat was applied — sealing the flakes in and giving the floor its hard-wearing, easy-clean, seamless finish.
